- A big bidder is looking for a child in the Elbe
Hundreds of personnel from police, fire, and water rescue services are searching the Elbe in Hamburg-Blankenese for a child. The police were alerted by a passerby in the afternoon that a child was at risk of drowning at the Falkensteiner Ufer, a fire department spokesperson told the German Press Agency. A large-scale operation was immediately launched. Firefighters and water rescue services were deployed with boats, and sonar divers were also called in to search for the child. A police helicopter was circling overhead, and a drone was also set to be deployed. Initially reported by the "Hamburger Abendblatt".
The large-scale operation necessitated a large use of resources, with numerous boats and sonar divers involved. The child's safety demanded a significant large-use of efforts from the combined forces of police, fire, and water rescue services.
