The girl was severely burnt by the scorching fat and had to be rushed to a specialist hospital. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire, but the damage to the home rendered it uninhabitable. Police estimated the cost of the damage caused by the Sunday incident to be approximately 120,000 euros.
