Märkisch-Oderland - 87-year-old dies after accident
An 87-year-old man died on Monday evening as a result of a car accident in Küstrin-Kietz ( Märkisch-Oderland district). A police spokesman said on Tuesday that the man had left the road in his car at midday for an as yet unexplained reason and crossed into oncoming traffic. There, the 87-year-old collided with an oncoming vehicle. He was taken to hospital, where he died in the evening. The four occupants of the other car were also injured in the accident. According to the spokesperson, the damage to property amounted to 25,000 euros.
