Justice - 86-year-old mother strangled: Trial against son begins
A 47-year-old man from Herne is to stand trial for manslaughter in Bochum from Monday (9.00 a.m.). The accused is said to have strangled his 86-year-old mother in June of this year. The public prosecutor's office assumes that the accused also intended to kill his father, who suffered from dementia, and himself afterwards. According to the indictment, the 47-year-old wanted to take his parents to their deaths to spare them further suffering. His own suicide was allegedly due to alcohol poisoning. The police found the 86-year-old's body six days later in the family home.
