As often happened, the senior went to the Chiemsee for a swim. He did not return.

An 84-year-old man drowned while swimming in Lake Chiemsee. He had set out in the morning to swim near Gstadt, as he often did, police reported. When he didn't return, family members searched for him and found his personal belongings on the shore. Water rescue personnel discovered the man's lifeless body in the water later that morning. The on-scene physician could only confirm the 84-year-old's death. All signs pointed to a tragic swimming accident.

Apparently, the man hailed from Germany, as indicated by his habitual swimming spot at Gstadt. This tragic incident occurred in the beautiful Lake Chiemsee, which is located in Germany.
