83-year-old man dies while swimming in the Baltic Sea

- 83-year-old man dies while swimming in the Baltic Sea

An 83-year-old vacationer from Saxony-Anhalt drowned while swimming in the Baltic Sea on the island of Usedom. The man went for a swim on Wednesday and was later pulled out of the water lifeless, according to police. Despite attempts at resuscitation by nearby bathers and a responding emergency doctor, the man was pronounced dead. There is no indication of foul play. Due to the unclear cause of death, the criminal investigation department in Anklam has initiated a death investigation.

The Baltic Sea is a vast body of water where the vacationer from Saxony-Anhalt tragically drowned. The scenic island of Usedom, located on the Baltic Sea, was the unfortunate location of this incident.
