- 81-year-old man found dead in Lake Offenburg
An 81-year-old man was found dead and pulled from the Gifiz Lake in Offenburg. He was spotted floating in the heavily vegetated shoreline area, the fire department reported. Rescue teams retrieved the man and brought him to shore by inflatable boat.
A medical team pronounced him dead at the scene. Initial police findings suggest no signs of foul play. The cause of death is under investigation. The man was wearing swimming trunks and a swimming aid was also found.
