Accidents - 72-year-old pedestrian hit and dragged by car
A 72-year-old pedestrian has been hit and seriously injured by a car in Bad Münder (Hameln-Pyrmont district). An 80-year-old driver had previously overlooked the woman when turning left, as the police reported on Thursday. The pedestrian was thrown to the ground in the accident on Wednesday afternoon, came under the car and was dragged along.
The woman was rescued by the emergency services and taken to a clinic. The driver remained uninjured. However, she is suspected of having been driving under the influence of medication. A blood sample was taken from her.
