63-year-old woman run over and injured by van
A 63-year-old pedestrian has been hit by a van in Munich, run over and seriously injured. The 44-year-old driver of the van was under the influence of drugs and did not have a valid driver's license, the police announced on Sunday.
According to the report, the 44-year-old left the road with the vehicle on Saturday for an initially unknown reason and ended up on a central reservation that demarcated the adjacent streetcar tracks. When the 63-year-old woman tried to cross the tracks, the van hit her. The woman was seriously injured and taken to hospital.
This unfortunate incident occurred in the heart of Munich, making it an unfortunate addition to the city's traffic statistics. Additionally, the perpetrator's actions, including driving under the influence and without a valid license, have also raised concerns about crime rates in Upper Bavaria.
