600th project is supported by the Engagement Fund
For eight years now, Saxony-Anhalt has been supporting projects, associations and initiatives in their efforts to improve coexistence in the neighborhood via an engagement fund. Since then, 900,000 euros in funding has been awarded, according to the Ministry of Social Affairs. Now the 600th project has received support: Benvivo gGmbH in Burg in Jerichower Land offers various cultural, learning and meeting formats in its meeting place. There are exercise programs for senior citizens, activities for children, language courses and cultural events. "With this broad commitment to good cooperation in Burg, the engagement center builds a bridge between the neighborhood and initiatives," said the ministry.
The engagement fund, established by Saxony-Anhalt's Ministry of Social Affairs, has been funding projects, associations, and initiatives for eight years to promote better neighborhood coexistence. Apart from supporting 599 initiatives previously, the 600th project, Benvivo gGmbH in Burg in Jerichower Land, has now also received funding for its social affairs programs, including cultural events, language courses, senior citizen exercise programs, and activities for children.
