Mayen-Koblenz - 56-year-old woman hits oncoming traffic and dies
A 56-year-old female driver has been killed after driving into oncoming traffic on a main road in the Mayen-Koblenz district. She collided head-on with a truck between Plaidt and Kretz on Thursday afternoon and was then thrown against another vehicle, according to the police.
The woman was trapped in the completely destroyed and deformed car. It was only possible to determine that she had died. The driver of the truck was slightly injured. There were no casualties in the second car, a police spokesman said. The cause of the accident was initially unclear. The main road was closed for several hours.
