50-year-old man killed: Murder trial in Regensburg begins
A 26-year-old man will go on trial at Regensburg Regional Court from Monday (09:00). He is accused of murder. The man had turned himself in to the police in Bad Kötzting (district of Cham) in February and claimed to have killed an acquaintance the previous evening. Officers found the body of a 50-year-old man in the man's apartment. The accused is said to have committed the crime with the intention of returning to prison. Four further dates have initially been set for the trial.
The investigation into the murder case involves analyzing various processes to build a strong case against the accused. The crime occurred in the OBERPFALZ region, specifically in Regensburg where the trial is taking place.
