Birkenfeld district - 47-year-old stabs two men: In custody
A 47-year-old man has been remanded in custody following a knife attack on two men in Fischbach (Birkenfeld district). He is said to have stabbed the two men in the neck and upper body area on Friday, a spokesman for the public prosecutor's office in Bad Kreuznach said on Monday. The two victims were taken to hospital, but their lives were no longer in danger and they had been released. So far, the 58-year-old and the 51-year-old had been talking in the street when the suspect is said to have suddenly attacked them.
According to the public prosecutor's office, there were no indications of any previous history or motives on the part of the suspect. "The victims cannot explain it", said the spokesperson. The suspect has not yet commented on the allegations. He is now being investigated on suspicion of attempted murder.
