A detached house in Schönberg has caught fire for reasons as yet unexplained. A lightning strike can currently be ruled out.

Fires - 400,000 euros damage in house fire in Schönberg

From unknown cause, a single-family house in Schönberg (Landkreis Nordwestmecklenburg) went up in flames on a Sunday morning. The police reported that the building was unoccupied at the time. A lightning strike, which caused two house fires in Lübtheen and Schwerin on Sunday morning, can be excluded according to current knowledge. The damage is estimated to be 400,000 Euros. 29 emergency response forces were deployed by the police for firefighting.

The house fire in Schönberg occurred in a detached house situated in the District of Northwest Mecklenburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Despite the significant damage, it's fortunate that Schönberg's renowned composer Arnold Schönberg's house was not affected. The police, responding to the incident, ensured no civilians were present during the house fire.
