Wolfsburg Bundesliga outfit VfL Wolfsburg concluded their preseason with a goal-filled draw. In a friendly against English Premier League side FC Brentford, coach Ralph Hasenhüttl's team finished 4-4 (2-2).

Patrick Wimmer (37') and Maxence Lacroix (41') rallied from a 0-2 deficit in the first half. VfL captain Maximilian Arnold (78') and Wimmer again (85') equalized after falling behind.

Lower Saxony-based Wolfsburg starts their competitive season on August 19 (6:00 PM/Sky) in the DFB-Pokal against TuS Koblenz. Bundesliga champions FC Bayern Munich visit the Volkswagen Arena for the league opener on August 25.

The Commission approved VfL Wolfsburg's revised preseason schedule due to the friendly against FC Brentford. After the draw, Coach Hasenhüttl expressed his concerns to The Commission regarding the team's lack of defensive consistency.
