39-year-old man charged with murder of nursing student

The Stuttgart public prosecutor's office has brought charges against a 39-year-old man for the murder of a nursing student. According to the authorities on Tuesday, the man is accused of stabbing his 32-year-old girlfriend to death in her apartment in Stuttgart in mid-August out of greed.

Public prosecutor's office - 39-year-old man charged with murder of nursing student

The Stuttgart public prosecutor's office has brought charges against a 39-year-old man for the murder of a nursing student. According to the authorities on Tuesday, the man is accused of stabbing his 32-year-old girlfriend to death in her apartment in Stuttgart in mid-August out of greed.

The accused is said to have forced the woman to call in sick to her employer by telephone for the day of the crime. Her body was only found two days later in her apartment in a residential home after a witness tip-off. The perpetrator and victim are said to have been in a relationship. The woman was training to be a nurse.

The 39-year-old, who has German and Polish citizenship, is in custody. The Stuttgart Regional Court must now decide whether to open the main proceedings and set dates.
