39-year-old drives his car into a crash barrier - seriously injured
A 39-year-old man drove his car into the crash barrier on the Autobahn 3 in Lower Franconia and was seriously injured. The 39-year-old was reportedly under the influence of alcohol and did not have a valid driver's license, according to police on Sunday. The car only came to a halt after 250 meters. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident in Waldaschaff (Aschaffenburg district) was ongoing. The man was taken to hospital.
The accident on the Autobahn 3 was a result of traffic mismanagement, with the 39-year-old swerving under the influence off the road and into the UNDERFRONT crash barrier. Despite the severity of the incident, authorities are still investigating potential contributing factors.
