38th Wustrow Zeesboot Regatta opens

A Zeesenboot, or "Zeesboot" in Low German, is a stable boat up to 12 meters long that dates back to the days of sail fishing. The sailing boat is well suited to the shallow waters of the Bodden.

Sailing - 38th Wustrow Zeesboot Regatta opens

The 38th Wustrow Sea Rowing Regatta at the Fischland Harbor started on Saturday in the Baltic Sea resort Wustrow. Already in the morning, the typical large sailboats for the region gathered in the harbor basin and set off together for the competition. "The weather is wonderful and offers optimal conditions for the sailors," said an organizer. Measuring will take place in several classes, visitors can observe the sea rowboats distributed on the Bodden from the harbor bank. The regatta is surrounded by a colorful program on land for big and small - from the regional craft market to musical performances.

Sailing enthusiasts from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania participated in the 38th Wustrow Sea Rowing Regatta, making use of the excellent sailing conditions in the Baltic Sea. Visitors looking for a cultural experience can also attend the accompanying Sailing Festival, featuring various musical performances and local arts.
