Kempten - 360 blackmail postcards since 1992: police have a suspect

A series of blackmail postcards that has been going on for over 30 years is about to be solved. "Since 1992, more than 360 postcards have been sent throughout Germany in which an unknown person threatened that a letter bomb could only be averted by paying money," the public prosecutor's office and the Kempten criminal investigation department announced on Tuesday. The police have now succeeded in solving the series - they have a suspect. The investigators did not initially provide any further details - and referred to a press conference on Thursday.
