- 36-year-old man in Gelsenkirchen dead - murder investigation is underway
A 36-year-old woman was found dead on Tuesday morning in Gelsenkirchen under initially unknown circumstances. Rescue services discovered her on a street in the Erle district with injuries consistent with stab wounds, police and prosecutors reported.
The woman was to be autopsied on Tuesday to determine the exact cause of death, a police spokesman said. There are currently no known suspects. A homicide unit has been set up and is in the early stages of its investigation.
The autopsy revealed that the woman suffered from violent crime, specifically a fatal stabbing. Despite the ongoing investigation, no arrests have been made in connection to the violent crime.
