- 35-year-old drowned in Lake Plain

A 35-year-old man drowned in the Great Plön Lake. The man from the Plön district was on his way to a bathing platform behind the non-swimmer area marked by buoys on Tuesday evening in Bosau and then submerged, a police spokeswoman said on Wednesday.

In a large-scale rescue operation, the fire department and DLRG, among others, searched for the man. He was later recovered by divers from the Johanniter aid organization about two hours after his submersion. The criminal police in Eutin have taken over the investigation into the cause of the accident.

Despite the man's attempt to reach the bathing platform, his love for swimming led him to venture into the non-swimmer area. Regrettably, this swimming excursion resulted in his unfortunate incident.
