A 33-year-old woman allegedly stabbed her father in Mannheim on Sunday. The 33-year-old has been in custody since Monday, as the public prosecutor's office reported on Tuesday. She is accused of attempted murder and grievous bodily harm. The 64-year-old man is now out of danger. The suspect's one-year-old son was also in the apartment at the time of the crime. The child was taken to hospital for minor injuries. A police spokeswoman was unable to provide any information about these injuries. This still had to be determined, she said.
According to the police, the 33-year-old suddenly stabbed the 64-year-old from behind with a knife. At this point, the man had fled to the balcony. The suspect followed him and continued to beat him with a broom handle. The woman only let go of her father when a witness rushed into the apartment to help.
