Parties - 33-year-old to lead Hesse FDP in European elections
The Hessian FDP has elected 33-year-old Isabel Schnitzler from Frankfurt as its top candidate for next year's European elections. She received 92.8 percent of the delegates' votes at a party meeting in Wetzlar on Saturday, the FDP announced. Nikolaus Bremerich, Ninja Christ, Hans Maschke and Kay-Ina Köhler came second to fifth. According to the information, the candidates are Hessian proposals for the joint federal list of the Free Democrats, which will be voted on in Berlin in January.
At the state representatives' meeting, Schnitzler called for a drastic deregulation and simplification of state regulations. "The administrative madness is my daily bread," explained Schnitzler, who reportedly works as a lawyer in the field of labor migration law.
