Dispute escalates - 32-year-old attacks man with machete - several injured
A 32-year-old man is reported to have hit a 29-year-old man with a machete during an argument in Kaiserslautern. According to the police, the man was lightly injured. The 29-year-old then used pepper spray against the 32-year-old and pursued him with three other people, throwing glass bottles at him, resulting in injuries for both parties. The police later arrested the 32-year-old at home and found the machete there.
Meanwhile, there was another altercation - this time between the father of the 32-year-old and the group of the 29-year-old. During this incident, a baseball bat and a knife were used - a 22-year-old was lightly injured. The police are investigating who used the weapons.
In the wake of these incidents, the authorities in Rhineland-Palatinate have expressed concern about the increasing trend of violence in Kaiserslautern. Despite the police's efforts to maintain peace, the use of weapons such as machetes, pepper spray, and even a baseball bat in crimes, is provocative and unacceptable.
