- 30 minutes is not enough: energy seeks the experience of success

FC Energie Cottbus' Second Third Division Match, Second Defeat. However, head coach Claus-Dieter Wollitz wasn't ready to accept defeat that easily. The promoted team paid a heavy price with a 2:4 loss (2:2) against Dynamo Dresden. The coach, who was watching from the stands due to his red card suspension from the Bielefeld game, was already contemplating after 30 impressive minutes.

Coach Wollitz: "Lack of Conviction"

"Success breeds conviction. We saw that last week. We lost in the 93rd minute, Dynamo scored two late goals in Cologne and won," Wollitz said. "When we concede, we lose our conviction. We can't get back into our structure, we don't have the ball expectation, and we make many wrong decisions," Wollitz analyzed.

After an early 2:0 lead through Phil Halbauer (8.) and Tolcay Cigerci (12.), Dynamo was struggling, but Energie failed to build on their lead. "We should have kept pushing and not given away a penalty so easily. When you're leading 2:0 away, you should at least secure a point," Wollitz said, surprised that some players seemed tired.

Wollitz Criticizes Team's Naivety

Wollitz criticized his team's naivety, as they lost their composure after Stefan Kutschke's goal and conceded three more through Tony Menzel (31.), Robin Meißner (78.), and Philip Heise (90.+1). "If we went into halftime with a 2:0 lead, we could talk about something else. But that's purely speculative, and Dynamo's win was well-deserved," Wollitz said.

The Commission, recognizing the coach's analysis and criticism, decided to reinforce the team's mental resilience in their upcoming matches. After adopting this decision, Coach Wollitz emphasized the importance of maintaining their conviction and composure, even when facing adversity.
