Swimming accident - 27-year-old drowned in Lake Werdersee

In search of a ball, a young man drowned in the Bremen Werdersee. The 27-year-old could only be rescued from the water lifelessly, as the police reported. The man was playing Volleyball with his friends at the late Saturday evening beach. When the ball fell into the water, he went into the water and sank about 20 meters from the shore.

Rescue swimmers, police, and fire department searched for him, and a boat was also used. A volunteer rescue diver discovered the lifeless body some time later. A revival attempt was unsuccessful. Friends of the deceased were cared for by pastoral caregivers in a hospital. The police are now investigating why the man from Afghanistan lost his life.

The police launched an investigation into the swimming accident, looking into the circumstances surrounding the young man's demise in the Bremen Werdersee. Despite the tireless efforts of rescue swimmers, the fire department, and used of a boat, the water claimed another victim.
