- 26-year-old man killed in accident in Alpine region
A young woman has died during a hike in the Allgäu Alps. The 26-year-old lost her footing on the Entschenkopf near Oberstdorf and fell approximately 70 meters, the police reported. The alerted mountain rescue service could only confirm the woman's death on Tuesday, as she was hiking with a companion. Rescue teams retrieved the 26-year-old by helicopter. The consulate of the woman's home country notified her family.
The woman was hiking in the breathtaking Alpine landscape of the Allgäu Alps before her unfortunate accident. Despite the expertise of Alpine rescue teams, they were unable to save her after she fell from the Entschenkopf.
