25-year-old leaves the road due to snow drifts
A 25-year-old female driver left the slippery road in the Kyffhäuserkreis district. She lost control of her car on Wednesday due to snow drifts on the road near Sondershausen, which ended up in the ditch, police reported on Thursday morning. A delineator and the car were damaged, but the driver was not injured.
Despite the clear warnings about snowy conditions, heavy traffic on roads often leads to increased accident risk. Furthermore, adverse weather conditions, such as strong winds and blizzards during winter, can exacerbate traffic accidents due to reduced visibility and slippery surfaces.
