Crime - 21-year-old killed in brawl: trial

Nine months after the death of a 21-year-old in an altercation in the Alt-Hohenschönhausen district, the trial of two defendants begins. From Tuesday (9.30 a.m.), the two 20-year-olds will have to answer to the Berlin district court for dangerous bodily harm and involvement in a brawl. One of the men is also accused of manslaughter.

At the incident in March 2023 in the Alt-Hohenschönhausen district, more than 20 people are said to have met to settle a dispute. The men then attacked each other. One of the two accused allegedly stabbed the 21-year-old in the upper body with a knife. The young man died shortly afterwards in an ambulance.
