Medical Careers in Nursing Fields - 20 million allocated for technical college in Borna from lignite funds.
More than 20 million euros from the Investment Law will be used to establish a vocational school for care professions in Borna, Leipzig district. The proposed school will accommodate 172 female and male students in care-related vocations, as well as 435 apprentices. In addition, a kindergarten is planned to be constructed. The purpose is to attract permanent employees, skilled workers, and families to the area, according to the State Ministry for Regional Development. A total of 51 projects totaling over 500 million euros will be funded in the Central German Lignite Region. These initiatives aim to mitigate the impact of the coal exit on the regions.
