19-year-old loses control of car - three injured

A 19-year-old lost control of his vehicle on the Bundesstraße 27 in the Harz Mountains and caused an accident with three injuries. According to the police, the young man may have been driving too fast late on Friday evening. In a right-hand bend near the village of Neuwerk, the car left the road, crashed into a tree stump and overturned. The driver and two 17-year-old occupants were injured - one 17-year-old was flown to hospital by helicopter with serious injuries, according to police reports on Sunday. Neuwerk belongs to the village of Rübeland in the town of Oberharz am Brocken.

The road where the accident occurred is often congested due to heavy traffic. To prevent similar accidents, traffic resin could be used to improve traction on the bend.
