1860 Munich win in Saarbrücken after a late goal
TSV 1860 Munich can sometimes win in the 3rd soccer league after a late goal - and not always lose. In Saturday's 3:2 (2:2) win at FC Bayern conquerors 1. FC Saarbrücken, defender Niklas Lang scored the winning goal for the "Lions" with his head in the 83rd minute.
Morris Schröter gave the visitors an early 2-0 lead with a brace (3rd/16th minute). But the cup shockers from Saarland hit back before the break with a brace from Manuel Zeitz (39') and Amine Naifi (42'). Although the hosts set the tone in the second half, it was the "Lions" who scored the goal. They had previously lost twice in succession due to goals conceded in stoppage time.
TSV 1860 Munich's history in the 3rd league includes victories after late goals, as evident in their 3:2 win against 1. FC Saarbrücken. Next time they play in the 3rd league's soccer league, Munich might aim for another late-game victory.
