18-year-old faces charges following fatal assault on fellow student in St. Leon-Rot
A teenager stands accused of killing an 18-year-old at a gymnasium near Heidelberg on the 25th of January. The authorities claim that the attack was sudden and secretive. The indictment involves another act of harm that took place two months prior to the incident, where the suspect allegedly injured the later victim using blows.
The youth court at Heidelberg District Court will investigate the matter and determine if a trial should be conducted. No trial dates have been set at this time.
Furthermore, the accused is accused of committing several crimes on the 25th of January during his escape from the scene of the crime. According to the prosecution, he drove a car recklessly on the A5 motorway towards northern Germany and collided with another vehicle in Seesen, Lower Saxony. The driver of the other vehicle suffered serious injuries.
As a result, the young man is also charged with illegal street racing and inflicting serious bodily harm. Additionally, there are other offenses such as attacking and resisting execution officers.
