At overtaking on a road in the Jonatal valley near Arnstadt (Ilm-District), a driver lost control of his car and collided with a tree. The 18-year-old was seriously injured and taken to a hospital, according to the police in Gotha. According to current knowledge, he was on his way from Arnstadt to Crawinkel on Friday afternoon and had just overtaken several vehicles. When he wanted to get back into the traffic lane, he drove onto the curb at the right edge of the road, lost control of his car, and crashed into a tree head-on. The car then spun around and hit another tree with its rear end. The damage to the car is estimated to be around 20,000 Euro. The road was closed completely for approximately three hours.

The accident occurred in Thuringia, specifically near Arnstadt in the Ilm-District. The incident involved a driver who had just overtaken several vehicles, but lost control upon trying to re-join the traffic lane, resulting in accidents with two trees. The incident took place on a road leading from Arnstadt to Crawinkel.
