- 16-year-old passenger dies in a car crash
A 16-year-old died in a car crash in Lower Bavaria. The driver, also 16, survived the crash with serious injuries but was "significantly intoxicated." He was taken to a hospital by ambulance. His passenger died at the scene between Kelheim and the community of Weltenburg.
The 16-year-old driver had driven off the road and hit a tree. The car belonged to a relative, and the teen is believed to have gained unauthorized access to it, according to police.
The car that the 16-year-old was driving was involved in a severe car accident. Despite driving off the road and hitting a tree, the passenger unfortunately did not survive the impact.
