- 16-year-old motorcyclist hits truck - seriously injured
In the Leipzig district, a 16-year-old moped rider collided with a truck and was seriously injured. A police spokesperson reported that at the late afternoon on Wednesday in Seelingstadt, the 36-year-old truck driver swerved into the middle of the lane to pass a parked car, resulting in a collision with the oncoming moped rider, who was reportedly also driving very centrally. The teenager was taken to the hospital. The truck driver was uninjured.
The hospital stated that the teenager's recovery from the accidents' severe injuries might take some time. Despite the accident, traffic in the Leipzig district continued to flow smoothly.
