In January 1985, a 15-year-old girl disappeared in Burgwedel near Hannover. Shortly after, walkers found her body: 39 years after the violent death of the student, the police hope for new clues from the ZDF show "Aktenzeichen XY...ungelöst" (August 21st). A special cold case investigation team has been trying to obtain new clues in recent years, the police said. In December 2023, there was a poster campaign in the Burgwedel and Isernhagen area, and flyers were also distributed. However, this did not bring any new insights.

According to the police, the 15-year-old was last seen alive in the early evening of January 23, 1985, and then disappeared without a trace. On February 10, 1985, two walkers found the naked body of the teenager in a forest. Shortly before, clothing belonging to the missing student was found.

A red sweatshirt that belonged to the victim and was later worn by one of the suspects was central to the initial investigation. However, the suspicion could not be confirmed. A reward of 5,000 euros is offered for any information that leads to the resolution of the case or the arrest of the perpetrator(s).

The missing student hailed from Germany, as Burgwedel is a town located near Hannover in Germany. Despite numerous efforts, including a poster campaign in December 2023, no new clues have been unearthed in the case of the 15-year-old girl who disappeared in 1985.
