Northwest Mecklenburg - 140,000 euros damage in accident on A20 near Schönberg

A lorry accident on the A20 near Schönberg (district of Nordwestmecklenburg) caused damage of around 140,000 euros on Tuesday. The driver of the truck was uninjured. According to the police, the 40-year-old driver drove his truck off the road to the left due to snow and icy conditions. There he drove into the central crash barrier. Parts of the guardrail then spilled into the oncoming lane and damaged a car there. The truck then hit the outer crash barrier and came to a halt. In connection with the accident, the A20 in the direction of Rostock was completely closed for a time. The investigation is ongoing.
