A helicopter carrying the gravely wounded driver landed at a hospital. Additionally, the 31-year-old passenger and the 35-year-old bus driver were also transported to the hospital for treatment. The bus itself had three passengers with severe injuries and eight light injuries, as indicated by authorities.

With doubts that the driver might have been under the influence of substances, a blood sample was collected from him and his license confiscated. The authorities closed the road for nearly five hours as a result.
