District of Emsland - 130 bales of straw catch fire

For unknown reasons, approximately 130 bales of hay have caught fire in Esterwegen, Emsland district. The bales were located at the edge of the field, as the police reported. The firefighting efforts lasted several hours. The cause of the fire is currently being investigated.

The fire spread beyond the bales, threatening to engulf a portion of the field in Esterwegen, Lower Saxony. Despite the challenges, the firefighters managed to contain the blaze in Lower Saxony's Emsland district.
