Upper Franconia - 13-year-old probably responsible for series of burglaries
A 13-year-old is said to have broken into seven cars in Coburg within the last two weeks. He was after electronic devices, wallets and other valuables, as the police reported on Friday. To do this, the teenager smashed or levered out the side windows of the vehicles.
After his last theft, the 13-year-old used a stolen EC card to pay for a soft drink in a store under video surveillance. Investigators were able to identify him from the footage.
The 13-year-old is said to have made loot worth a total of around 1,500 euros, and the damage to the cars is up to 10,000 euros, according to the police. The 13-year-old cannot be prosecuted because of his age.
