1. FC Nuremberg wants to use "momentum" against FC Schalke

After three successive competitive matches in the 2nd Bundesliga, 1. FC Nürnberg want to go one better against FC Schalke 04. "We're coming from a good momentum and want to continue where we left off," said coach Cristian Fiel ahead of the home game on Saturday (1pm/Sky).

The Nuremberg coach is still pondering whether he should bring in fresh players against the Royal Blues after Wednesday evening's 3-2 extra-time win over Hansa Rostock in the DFB Cup. "The last two games have taken their toll," admitted Fiel on Friday. Schalke were also challenged in the 2nd round of the DFB Cup. However, they lost 2:1 after extra time at FC St. Pauli on Tuesday evening.

Fiel will definitely have to make changes in defense. Ivan Marquez, who was eligible to play in the cup, will have to serve the last game of his red ban against Schalk.
