Soccer - 1. FC Magdeburg extends contract with Kruth ahead of schedule

Football-Second League team 1. FC Magdeburg has prematurely extended the contract of Noah Kruth. The 21-year-old goalkeeper joined the Elbe from SV Meppen's youth setup in 2018. "He has developed very quickly into the number two in the licensed player squad and we see a lot of potential in him for the future. The good work in the youth performance center, which is led by Matthias Tischer, is becoming noticeable in the goalkeeper position," said Sport Chief Otmar Schork on Friday, without making any further announcements regarding the contract duration. The 1.86 meter tall Kruth was indeed a constant presence in the professional squad, but played only for the FCM U23 team.
