- 1:3 against Magdeburg: Braunschweiger misfiring perfectly
Eintracht Braunschweig got off to a disastrous start in the new season of the 2. Bundesliga. A week after losing 1:5 to Schalke 04, the pursuers of last season lost their first home game 1:3 (0:1) against 1. FC Magdeburg on Sunday.

FCM's only weakness was that Baris Atik (16th) and Herbert Bockhorn (22nd) had to be substituted early due to injuries.
Eintracht started the new season poorly for the third time in a row. In 2022, they didn't win any of their first six games. In 2023, they were already the clear bottom of the table in October.
