- Woman dead in Söhrewald - suspect arrested
On Sunday afternoon, a deceased 46-year-old woman was found in Soehrewald, leading to the arrest of a suspect on Tuesday. As reported by the Public Prosecutor's Office in Kassel today, a 62-year-old man was issued a warrant for his arrest on suspicion of manslaughter.
The suspect, currently believed to be an acquaintance of the deceased, reportedly turned himself in due to the intense search. He is suspected of having killed the woman last Wednesday in that forest section using blunt force, and was subsequently taken into custody. Two mushroom pickers discovered the woman's body on Sunday in a bush in the Kaufunger Forest, near a road in Soehrewald.
