Who supplied Matthew Perry with the lethal substances?

An ongoing probe is being conducted into the death of "Friends" star Matthew Perry. It pertains to the ketamine that induced his passing. The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) is searching for the vendor of this substance.

US investigators are seeking the dealer who supplied Matthew Perry with drugs and medication. The "Friends" actor was discovered dead in the hot tub of his Los Angeles home on October 28, 2023. In December, officials unveiled the findings from the toxicology report and autopsy. The police investigation results indicated that the death arose from "acute effects of ketamine." Ultimately, Perry drowned.

Remnants of buprenorphine, a potent painkiller from the opioid family, were also found in his blood. The celebrity was diagnosed with coronary heart disease as well. His death was officially categorized as an accident.

The probe, taken up in December, is still ongoing. The Los Angeles Police Department is carrying out the criminal inquiry regarding the origin of the ketamine connected to the actor's demise. The police department communicated this to CNN. Additionally, two federal agencies, the US Drug Enforcement Administration and the US Postal Inspection Service, are engaged in the ongoing inquiry.

"Hypothetically, there is a chance of a criminal conviction predicated on what the investigation uncovers, but we're not there yet," the LAPD's spokesperson stated, explaining that the authorities are delving into where Perry sourced the drugs and who provided them.

Depiction of drug struggles in his memoir

Ketamine is a dissociative anesthetic known for its hallucinogenic effects, and it's also employed to treat depression. On the other hand, buprenorphine is primarily utilized to address severe chronic pain and serve as a withdrawal treatment for opioids. Matthew Perry has faced long-term challenges with addiction to drugs and alcohol. He discloses this extensively in his book "Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing".

Perry is famous for his role in the popular sitcom "Friends". He was part of the primary cast of the series, joined by Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer, and Lisa Kudrow.
