Two men stabbed to death in Hanover: 45-year-olds bled to death
Following the violent deaths of two men in Hanover, the cause of death has been determined. According to the preliminary autopsy results, the two 45-year-olds died as a result of high blood loss, i.e. they bled to death, said a spokeswoman for the public prosecutor's office in Hanover on Wednesday. On Tuesday, a few hours after the crime, the police had arrested a 21-year-old man who is said to have fatally injured the two men with a stabbing weapon. A 49-year-old man was slightly injured. The background to the crime and a possible motive were initially unclear.
According to the information available so far, the suspect attacked the two 45-year-old men at different locations in Hanover early on Tuesday morning. Both men died. The attacks occurred within about half an hour of each other and only a few hundred meters apart. The police are investigating manslaughter.
In light of these distressing events, emergency services were alerted to the crime scenes. The city of Hanover has seen an increase in crime-related emergencies recently.
