On Mother's Day, Heidi Klum takes a trip down memory lane to greet her mom, Erna. Posting a throwback photo on Instagram, she showcases their striking resemblance. "My queen! My mom Erna!" she captioned the post, expressing her love for her 80-year-old mother. Along with the heartfelt message, Klum asked her 12 million followers, "Do you think we look alike?"
Taking a look back at a more recent photo of both of them together, the similarities in their faces are truly remarkable: the same warm smile, radiant eyes, and blonde hair create an uncanny resemblance. In the past, Heidi has openly admitted that her mother has been her source of inspiration when it comes to beauty; it seems she's inherited those good genes!
In honor of Erna Klum's 80th birthday back in February, Heidi shared a childhood photo of her mom from 1972. The then-28-year-old had just won a beauty contest - she could've easily been a contender in Deutschland sucht den Superstar (Germany's Next Topmodel) had she entered the show years later. Heidi was born less than a year after her mother's big win.
At this year's Mother's Day, Heidi Klum was in Cannes, where a gorgeous bouquet of roses awaited her in her hotel room upon arrival on May 12. While it's unknown if her husband, Tom Kaulitz, was behind the floral surprise, she couldn't stop smelling them and wished her followers a "Happy Mother's Day" via an Instagram story. Despite not having any human children, Klum expresses her maternal love as a pet mom to their two dogs, Uschi and Jäger. To celebrate her kids' importance, she also shared a photo of the pooches frolicking in the lush hills around L.A.
