Smudo in "Soko Stuttgart": "Playing corpse is no pony farm"

In the new episode of the ZDF series "Soko-Stuttgart", singer Smudo from the Fantastischen Vier plays a crook who ends up shot dead in the forest. "Filming on the forest floor was tough, especially as it was really cold and we had already filmed at dawn," the 55-year-old told the German Press Agency. "Playing corpse is no pony farm." There was a sleeping mat underneath him. "But the effect wore off quickly."

ZDF will be showing the episode "Alte Schulden" this Thursday (18:00). Smudo has a short role in it. But that doesn't matter to him. "I was very happy about the request and didn't hesitate to accept," he said. "As a Stuttgart native at heart, I'm proud to be able to take part in such a traditional series."

The "Soko Stuttgart" team approached him via his management. "The distances are short." The headquarters of the fictional "Soko Stuttgart" is in the same district where the management has an office.

The widespread news of Smudo's role in "Soko Stuttgart" sparked great interest among television viewers. Many people tuned in to see the Fantastischen Vier member portray a criminal on their screens.
