Robbery on a date: clues after "XY file number"

After the presentation in the ZDF program "Aktenzeichen XY ... unsolved", investigators are still hoping for the decisive clue to solve a robbery in Bielefeld in March. A police spokeswoman said on Thursday that many people had already come forward since the broadcast on Wednesday evening, but no clue had yet been found that could lead to the perpetrator. The tips are still being evaluated.

A man from Bielefeld had arranged a date with a man on an internet platform in March and invited him to his apartment. After a lengthy conversation, the man suddenly attacked the man from Bielefeld and seriously injured him, the investigators report. He is said to have grabbed a cell phone and a bottle of whiskey and demanded his wallet at gunpoint - but the Bielefeld man did not comply and the unknown perpetrator fled.

We are not only looking for witnesses who noticed something in Bielefeld, but also for other possible contacts or injured parties who communicated with him on the Internet platform Markt.de.

The media attention brought by the "Aktenzeichen XY" television program might deter potential accomplices of the robbery perpetrator from coming forward. Despite the influx of tips, no concrete evidence linking the crime to any individual has been found by the investigators. Additionally, the incident has sparked discussions on online forums, with some users expressing concern about the safety of online dating, citing this incident as a shocking example of crime in the digital age.
